Anker just announced a new Solix F3000 portable power station with a 3kWh capacity and a 3.6kW output, making it perfect for short-term power outages and travel. These specifications make the Anker Solix F3000 capable of powering multiple electric devices at once or heavy appliances like air conditioners, power tools, and medical equipment.
As someone who lives in an outage-prone area, I've relied on my whole-home backup system more times than I can count. When I moved in, my home already had an out-of-service generator, which I've never repaired. I wanted a more sustainable home energy backup system, so I've since upgraded to a set of power stations that I can switch between to power my home when there's an outage. This is a perfect scenario for the Anker Solix F3000.

However, it could also be a great high-capacity portable battery option for camping, RVing, or going off the grid. That said, it is quite heavy at 91 pounds, so don't expect to be able to easily pick it up and carry it elsewhere. It has wheels and a handle so you can drag it around more easily.
The Anker Solix F3000 is solar-ready, with dual solar inputs (165V and 60V) for up to 2,400W recharging, and it works with most existing solar panels. You could charge it during the day with solar panels and use that power later during your utility provider's peak hours. This could help you reduce your electric bill and avoid high time-of-use rates.
This power station is a quiet, cleaner alternative to a gas generator or a complement to your home backup system. It has 120V generator compatibility, so you could charge the Anker Solix F3000 during the day with solar panels or a generator and enjoy silent power at night.

The Anker Solix F3000 starts at 3,072Wh, but can be expanded to up to 12,288Wh with up to three additional batteries. Anker says this setup could extend energy coverage to four days, which is good for prolonged outages caused by hurricanes or other extreme weather events.
Pricewise, the Anker Solix F3000 is available for signup on the Anker Solix website, but will be widely available on June 25 for $2,499, and each extra battery costs $1,499.
